This is how you get a US visa for your Thai wife

American citizens have a means of getting a US visa for their Thai Wife with Nonimmigrant visa. It is important to note that application for the K3 Visa for Thai wife who married a U.S. citizen must be filed and the visa must be issued in the country where the marriage took place. After the visa process has been completed, and the visa is issued, the Thai wife/husband can travel to the United States to wait for the processing of the immigrant visa case.

Step by Step process to apply for getting a US visa for Thai wife

Step 1

File a I-130 Petition for Alien Relative with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) along with attaching a proof of U.S. citizenship, a copy of your marriage certificate, and passport-size photos of both you and your Thai Wife. You will also need to attach some more necessary documents in order to give an evidence of your marriage.

Step 2

Fill out and file Form I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance(e).  You will need to attach the copies of those documents you attached to your I-130 petition.

Step 3

After the US Embassy in Thailand receives the approved petitions, you will have to prove that your Thai wife/spouse will be self-supporting or that you will be able to support your spouse. In order to ensure that your Thai wife will not require government assistance to live in the US country, you must demonstrate that your annual household income is at least 100% of the poverty line.

Step 4

The embassy will schedule a visa interview at the embassy with your Wife.  Before the interview your wife/spouse will be required to submit to a medical examination, which can be conducted at designated locations in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.  Your Thai Wife may also be required to undergo additional vaccinations.

Step 5

Once the US visa for your Thai Girlfriend has been issued, your wife is free to travel to and from the United States for two years.  Once in the United States, your wife can apply for a green card and become a permanent U.S. resident. She can renew the K3 visa in 2 year increments while the green card application is pending.
